Bosch ice maker not working? A tech's honest troubleshooting guide (from 8 years of field fixes)

  • Not sure if it's the ice maker or the fridge's main board → Listen carefully. If the water dispenser works but the ice maker is silent, it's almost certainly the ice maker module or its control. If neither water nor ice works, it's the main control board or water supply line.

Bottom line: I'd rather work with a technician who knows their limits than one who overpromises. If you're not 100% sure after these checks, call a Bosch-authorized service provider. Their diagnostic fee is way cheaper than buying the wrong part.
